Dr Nilushi Weerapperuma

Dr Nilushi Weerapperuma
Children and adolescents

Dr Nilushi Weerapperuma is a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Paediatric Development and Neurodevelopment. Initially trained as a general paediatrician, she now works exclusively in the field of development.

She has an MD in Paediatrics and has Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability in the UK with a merit. She has worked as a Paediatric Neurodisability Consultant in one of the tertiary Children’s Neurodisability and ADHD services in the UK. She is now a Consultant Paediatrician at Oxford University Hospitals, in Developmental and Community Paediatrics.

She has extensive experience in autism and ADHD assessments both face to face and virtually in children and young people. She is passionate and regularly updates herself with new developments in the field. Her interests are preschool ADHD, ADHD in girls and combined Autism and ADHD presentations.

Nilushi is a mother to three boys.
